 The demand for quieter, more comfortable technical products constantly
increases. Acoustic test stands not only save time (i.e. time-consuming
in-situ noise tests) but they help to further improve the quality. Test
stand measurements offer a reproducible results and objective measurable
values. Acoustic emission tests can often be combined with conditioning,
aging and durability.
Automotive manufacturers use their test stands for both testing of
braking and driving manoeuvres and for the checking of the acoustics (NVH
tests). The noise inside and outside the vehicle is checked in order to
localise abnormal noise.
